Ed Sheeran koncert Beograd

After a spectacular performance by the German group Rammstein, Belgrade’s Ušće will welcome another globally recognized name. To the delight of fans in Serbia and across the region, popular British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran will hold his solo concert on August 17th. The audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the biggest hits of a musician who is considered one of today’s leading stars.

Besides his extraordinary talent, Sheeran is also known as an exceptionally productive musician. He has stated multiple times that he writes about 25 songs weekly, with only one making it to official releases. During a recent break dedicated to family obligations, Sheeran wrote as many as 250 songs, including 50 ballads and numerous dynamic tracks that will soon hit global charts.

One of the curiosities related to this artist is the fact that he names all his albums after mathematical symbols. Last year, he released and heavily promoted two albums, “Autumn Variations” and “-”, which were received excellently by the audience. What fans appreciate most in Sheeran’s songs is the unique sound, emotional lyrics, and above all, a romantic vibe. Ed also holds numerous records within the music industry.

He is the first singer to have two songs simultaneously on the American Top 10 chart in the same week. By March 2017, he had ten tracks from one album on the list of the most listened-to singles. The song “Perfect” topped the most important music charts, making Sheeran’s album the best-selling of 2018. The following year, he managed to sell 38 million albums and 100 million singles worldwide, making him the best-selling musician on the planet.

Sheeran’s biggest success is undoubtedly the song “Shape of You,” officially recognized as the biggest hit of the previous decade. The track has been listened to 2.4 billion times on Spotify. Although pop hits are his specialty, the 33-year-old artist has ventured into a series of creative endeavors, from duets with other stars to acting and applied music.

In the latter category, the well-known track “I See Fire,” composed for the second installment of the movie “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” (2013), stands out. Sheeran’s talent was fully expressed here as he played almost all the instruments for the recording. His international career was launched through collaborations with the group One Direction and Taylor Swift. In 2013, the globally popular singer had Sheeran as a special guest at each of her performances.

Edward Christopher Sheeran was born in 1991 in Halifax, West Yorkshire, and grew up in the small town of Framlingham in Suffolk. He recorded his first songs back in 2005, with his debut EP (The Orange Room). He moved to London in 2008 with the ambition to continue his music career. He mainly played on the streets and in small clubs and occasionally auditioned for TV shows.

In the meantime, the musician has come a long way, including seven studio albums and hundreds of concert performances. Given that all his albums have symbolic titles, it was entirely expected that the current tour would be named Mathematics. Tickets are available at prices of 8,900, 10,000, 12,500, and 15,000 dinars through the official Gig Stix website or eFinity tickets. There is no doubt that Sheeran will provide his fans with a special experience.

Since the concert is being held in New Belgrade’s Ušće Park, visitors have multiple options for accommodation and city tours. Besides hotel accommodation, renting an apartment for a day is a convenient solution for those looking for affordable lodging near the concert area. The great interest from the audience suggests that we are in for the musical event of the season.
